Governance and Stewardship

The Board of Trustees consists of seven members serving two-year terms. The board is charged with governance under the general supervision of the organization and its partners, ensuring MBSK Colorado remains true to its mission while adapting to meet the evolving needs of Black and Brown communities across Colorado.

Our trustees bring diverse expertise across law, education, finance, healthcare, community organizing, and business. Together, they provide strategic oversight, ensure fiscal responsibility, and guide organizational policy to maximize impact.

Richard Jackson, JD

Chair

Richard brings over 20 years of legal and nonprofit governance experience to his role as Board Chair.

Dr. Marjorie Lewis

Vice-Chair

Dr. Lewis is a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive experience in community mental health.

Charmaine Lindsay, Esq.

Secretary

As Secretary, Charmaine ensures proper governance procedures and organizational compliance.

Treasurer

Linda oversees financial governance and ensures fiscal responsibility.

Trustee

Deborah brings extensive experience in community development and grassroots organizing.

Christian serves as both President/CEO and Trustee, providing leadership continuity between governance and operations.
